Space Apps Challenge is a global-level hackathon conducted by NASA every year. NASA gives out a bunch of problems faced by the scientific community in carrying out research and requests the citizens to provide quick and smart solutions. It is a citizen science program wherein people from academia and various industries, such as professionals, scientists, technologists, students, teachers, etc. from across the globe can participate. They try to come up with solutions to a problem of choice in the form of an app over two days of brainstorming, data analysis, and programming. This Year, Sundar MN, Teaching Assistant - Department of Physics and Electronics at School of Sciences functioning under JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), has been selected as the Local Lead (or local organiser) for Bengaluru. The SOS has been chosen as the host for the event to be held on 1 and 2 October 2022.
